Tour Details
Saturday and Sunday – To Dover for the ferry to Calais, then through France to our overnight hotel for a bed and breakfast stay. The next day we continue our journey through Germany and picturesque Switzerland into Italy and to our resort of Rimini.
Monday to Friday – Time at leisure to explore the sandy beaches and unique markets of Rimini, as well as enjoy our included excursions showing you the lovely surrounding areas.
We have an included half day in San Marino, originating in 301 AD when Saint Marinus climbed Monte Titano founding a small community. Still surrounded by ancient city walls, San Marino has narrow, winding streets and an incredible panoramic view over the region.
We also have a half day to Gandara, steeped in myth and legend revealing the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca. Rising up to 142 meters above sea level, the ancient town still holds ruins of medieval walls and towering castle.
Another half day takes us to Ravenna, a haven for art history and culture. Once the capital of the Western Roman Empire, it is home to eight early Christian monuments inscribed on the World Heritage List.
Saturday and Sunday – After a relaxing break we retrace our steps to France for our overnight bed and breakfast stop. The next morning we continue our journey to Calais for the ferry to Dover and home.
