Tour Details
| Saturday – We travel south for the crossing to France, continuing across Belgium and into Germany to Remagen. We stop en route for you to buy dinner and arrive at our hotel late in the evening for six nights.
Sunday to Thursday – During our five days in Remagen, we offer a number of included excursions to explore this enchanting region.
We have a full-day visiting Burg Lahneck and Marksburg Castle. Located where the River Lahn flows into the Rhine, Burg Lahneck was destroyed in the Thirty Years’ War and rebuilt with a neo-Gothic style, whilst Marksburg castle in Braubach remains the only castle on the Middle Rhine never to be destroyed.
A half-day excursion takes us to Schloss Augustusburg. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the grounds of this Late Baroque and Rococo style palace are often used as a venue for Bruhl palace concerts.
Finally we have a full-day to the wine making town of Rudesheim with a visit to Schloss Johannisberg surrounded by vineyards and producer of wines for over 900 years.
Friday – We retrace our steps through Belgium and into France to for the ferry home. |

Hotel Pinger, Remagen
| The 3-star Hotel Pinger in Remagen is ideally located only a short walk from the Rhine Promenade, local shops and restaurants. Facilities in the family-run hotel include a bar, coffee shop, small indoor swimming pool and sauna. En-suite bedrooms have TV and radio.
